Tastes good and does good-Advent Donation

We have just sent a donation of £2,000 from the profits made by 2022 sales of The Real Advent Calendar to The Funzi Bodo Trust. It will help provide mums and babies in African with care.

In 2022 we also sent more than £5,000 to the Fairtrade Foundation to support their work and more than £9,000 in additional payments to Fairtrade farmers. We also printed more than 300,000 Easter and Christmas story books.

By Christmas 2022 more than 27,000 Easter Eggs, 600 Host of Angels and 14,000 Advent Calendars will have been bought and donated to foodbanks through our donation scheme.

To date we have helped raise over £320,000 from sales supporting charitable causes, development and education projects. Click here for details of projects which we have supported.

Ashley, from the Trust, said, "The team at the Funzi Bodo Trust would like to thank everyone who bought a Real Advent Calendar in 2022. The donation will support our medical clinics on the islands of Bodo and on Funzi.

Each clinic includes a birthing unit ready to respond any time of the day or night. This has ended the practise of dangerous home births onto mud floors. This was common before the Trust was formed and the lives of many mothers and babies were lost."
