Competition winners announced

We are delighted to announce the winning entries for our 2026 Real Advent Calendar competition. Our challenge was to design a Christmas card with the theme of The Host of Angels Over the Hills of Bethlehem. All the winners will receive their book token prizes. The winners will get a £50 token and all runners up will receive a £25 token. Thank you to all who took part. You can see the winning entries and runners up below.
Senior Winner

Our senior winner is from Summer, aged 14 showing the shepherds camped out with their sheep pointing at the sudden appearance of the angels. A very atmospheric picture capturing a moment of awe and joy.
Junior Winner

Our Junior winner comes from Isabelle, aged 10. Joyful angels celebrate above the hills as a shepherd looks on. Full of colour and light, we enjoyed the celebratory tone of this colourful entry.
5 and under winner

Our winner in the 5 and under category comes from Abigail, aged 5. We love this happy host of angels gathering to sing of the arrival of Jesus.
Senior runner up

Our first senior runner up comes from Abigail aged 12. The dark night sky is lit up by the golden angel bring joyful news to the shepherds.
Senior runner up

Our second senior runner up is from Jack, age 11. We love how the shock of the shepherds is clear - one has dropped his crook - as the angel tells them to not be afraid.
Junior runner up

Our first Junior runner up is from Ada, aged 8. There is a real party spirit in the air as these smiling angels appear over the hills outside a very colourful Bethlehem.

Our second Junior runner up comes from Alexandra aged 9. Music fills the air as this Host of Angels gathers over the hills of Bethlehem.
5 and under runner up

This lovely bright picture comes from Aidan, aged 4. We imagine the night sky would have been very lit up by this colourful Host of Angels.
5 and under runner up

Our second 5 and under runner up comes from Ruth, aged 5. The three angels appear above Bethlehem, smiling joyfully, as they bring news of Jesus' birth. Even the houses seem happy!
